The Easiest Poker Training App for Beginners and Older Players (Big Buttons, Plain English, Free)
Most poker training software is built by pros for pros: dense grids, solver jargon, tiny controls, and a home screen that lists everything you have ever done. If you are learning the game, or you just want something readable on a phone, it is exhausting. Here is what a training section built the other way around looks like.
One button to start
The training home opens on Play now: a practice table against house players, where every decision can be explained as it happens. Under it are six large tiles that say what they are: Practice a situation, Preflop charts, Tournament challenges, Ask the coach, Poker words explained, and Poker 101. No sub-menus, no "modules", no scrolling past your own history to find the thing you came for.
Your progress sits on a strip across the top. Your last three sessions are listed under the tiles. Everything older is behind a History button, in pages, instead of an endless list.
Buttons you can hit
Every control in training is at least the size of a fingertip, with real words on it instead of icons you have to guess at. The chart chips say "Nobody raised yet", "Someone raised" and "Short stack" instead of RFI, vs open and push/fold. Position names spell out what they mean the first time: "Under the gun (first to act)", "Button (dealer)".
Charts that explain themselves
The preflop charts are the same solver-based ranges pros study, drawn big enough to read. Tap any hand on the grid and a plain sentence appears: "Ace-Nine suited is a raise here." A "How to read this" panel explains pairs, suited and offsuit, and what each color means, in four lines.
The charts are one tap away everywhere in training. A floating Charts button on every screen opens the chart for the seat and stack you are in right now, so you are never looking at the wrong one.
A coach that answers questions
The coach is a chat. Ask "what does position mean" or "should I call with ace-jack here" and you get an answer you can read, not a spreadsheet. Whenever the coach talks about ranges or short stacks, a button under the answer opens the matching chart. A Preflop chart shortcut sits in the quick actions.
A glossary for every word
Every term in the app is tappable. Simple Mode turns every definition into one plain sentence. The GTO, Range and Push/Fold entries all point at the charts, so a word you did not know becomes a picture you can use.
